Nchedo is an artist-led nonprofit arts organisation founded in August 2025, taking its name from the Igbo word for shelter and protection.

Founded by contemporary Nigerian artist Chidinma Nnoli, Nchedo supports emerging artists through residencies, mentorship, and public programmes that encourage artistic experimentation, critical engagement, and professional development.

Created in response to the gaps between formal art education and professional practice in Nigeria, Nchedo provides an environment grounded in radical care, respect, and creative agency, where artists can deepen their thinking, build community, and sustain their practices.
